There is a Blessing in your Storm...
Psalm 23..." Green Pastures & Still Waters" Sermon by Donnie McClurkin
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death ( through the darkest valley),
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
Donnie McClurkin....
* " As I read this and the Lord began to break things down, it is specific that we look at the soul. The spirit is connected to the soul and is separate, our soul gives us self consciousness, it is the seed of our emotions. Our spirit is our connection to God, who we worship in spirit & in truth, but the soul may be jacked up!....Your spirit may be connected, your prayer life may be going great but your soul...is still jacked up! Same cycle....The broken side of you, a broken heart, a broken desire, when your feelings are hurt....But! The Shepherd...GOD heals your soul!!!! He heals your body, soul, so that your body, soul, and spirit is intact.....God deals with the whole man...Body, Spirit & he restores the soul, he gets you well feed, and your thrist is quenched and he heals your soul, he leads you into the path of righteousness...The path of righteousness make us Godly anxious....but you need to know about the path of righteousness...It leads you to a specific place.......Yes, though I walk, You thought it led you into the kingdom of God...but before you reach this. YOU GOTTA TAKE A WALK.... The path of righteousness takes us to a specific path.....Remember the song " Walk with me Lord????" Are you walking with Jesus??? Well, let us see....You think you are walking on the mountain but it is getting dark, you say, Jesus, I can't feel you, it is getting kind of dark in here.....
But that is the path of righteousness!!!!!!! You are in the VALLEY!!!!!!!!!! Jesus Leads you into the path of righteousness, into the shadow of life, You must be tried in life, you gotta go through trials....
BUT DO NOT FEAR!!!!! It may be Dark...But DO NOT FEAR...IT may be SCARY....It may be death all around but KNOW that JESUS is right here with YOU!!!!!! If you ever get to a point of desperation, that is when Jesus shows right up!!!! Tell that devil...BACK UP!!! BACK UP!!! Give him fair warning...tell him Back up back up because Jesus is right here!!!!!!! I will fear No evil for Jesus is with me....
Then....
Notice in the valley of the shadow of death there are serious situations...Life threatening situations...God takes us into Life threatening situations...Not Satan....God put you here, God had to sent you into a place of trials, this is God setting you here, it is not the devil and it is not your sins, let your family, friends, and foes know...God is putting you through this for delivery, cause if you do not go through this valley, God will not break the curses in your life....He has called you to be a champion....
The significance of ROD and the STAFF.....
The shepherd is on the job to protect in the valley, in the valley your life is on the line, you do not know what to expect...The ROD is for the wolves who hide in the darkness....causing you to be afraid...But JESUS arise, standing with the rod and every enemy, every demon, every problem.....
The rod is for the sheep, which means us, when we get out of order, there is dicipline in the design of our life...And the staff is a elongated pole with a hook, if the sheep is moving opposite of the flock, into danger, the Shepherd ( Jesus) pulls you back into his safety....You went to the club.... you tried to get with old friends, what you used to do before you was saved, But Jesus pulled you back into his safety!
In the darkness... you hear the laughing, the mocking of people who said you would never make it, who laughed at you and said your fall is coming, those who said you are going to be no good, you will never be nothing...
But Jesus the shepherd, while your enemies laugh at you...
Jesus gets his fine linen, places it on the table, gets the gold ware not the silverware, it is refined gold, makes it polished....he puts the china out and places it on the table....a table before you in the prescence before your enemies....
Your foes may make laugh, mock, discount you, be little you, disqualify you...
BUT HE, Jesus is making a table.... a feast in you honor....You going to sit down and enjoy your feast!!!!!!!!!
Your enemies are watching, on the internet, on the TV, on the radio, at your home, on your job, everywhere you go, even in your home!
But Jesus prepared a table for you, and your enemies has to sit there and watch, they can not eat with you because they did not go through, the valley where you went through because you were blessed in the valley of death, shadows, trials, temptation....When you think you are down....
There is no better blessing... than when you are down....
The enemy is counting you out...10,9,8,7, 6....God said, They may be down but they ARE NOT out, after Jesus sets you up.....
Do not waste your life trying , defending yourself against the enemy's report, do not even waste time & energy, and anointing to prove your enemies, because GOD WILL SHOW YOUR ENEMIES WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!! Stop Crying and GROW UP!!! Stop wasting your time on the enemies....that is for babies, that is childish!!!! Who cares about who does not like you, Make them respect the way you stand through their hatred, never bow, never cry....KEEP ON WALKING!!!!! Because before you know it, Enemies will become your friends....Your enemies watched you walk through their fiery darts and you walked through untouched....You made it through....
Every enemy does not stay a enemy....because God will humble them before you. They will want to know how they can be saved, how God brought you through and how they can live right.
Then.....
God takes the oil...the oil is for anointing......
The least to be chosen which is YOU, , the least to be thought of chosen is who GOD is waiting to allow his anointing, to flow.....There is a purpose....because this.....is how those who are not profound, not as qualified as a bishop, an apostle....but you are called, the oil must flow.....
But People do not realize.....Your relationship with God will develop if you are serving God in spirit and in truth, if you are living in the word of GOD.....even though you are not preaching, you may not be singing....God wants to get a message across to you....if there is no people there is no need for a preacher....
People may think you are off....a little off... because you allow the holy Spirit to flow through you, but you have been through the valley of the shadow of death and you are dancing, praising God in tongues, shouting, singing because your cup.....
Your cup....Runneth over, you can dance, sing, shout, praise, speak in tongues....because GOD qualified you and anointed you in your valley and your enemies seen this and they could not stop God's anointing!!!!!! Somebody should be praising God right now, you should be dancing and not clapping because Your CUP......Glory be to GOD!!!!!
Your CUP......The anointing, the oil is running right now in your room, your cup runs over with joy, you should feel good! God is imparting into someone right now! Somebody is being anointed with oil right now, Your life is being changed, transformed right now, God himself, Jesus the shepherd has anointed your head with oil...You are not there to stay in the valley, so when it is finished, it works patience, patience = hope = the glory of GOD, as you walk out with Jesus leading you....
Take NOTICE!!!!!!
You are being FOLLOWED>>>>>>
BY WHO?????????
JUST MERCY & Goodness... They walked in with you & they are walking out with you, the goodness and mercy fell on you.
All the days of your life....GOODNESS= GRACE, and MERCY shall follow you as long as you exist on this earth, You shall always have.....
All the days of your life....GOODNESS= GRACE, and MERCY shall follow you as long as you exist on this earth....... No matter how you fall....You repent, you get up and the grace of GOD and his mercy is with you....when you leave this earth, your last breath and your last heartbeat....when you cross into the spirit world....God brings you home, into his kingdom.....as you kneel......in his presence....and your faith will become sight and you then can look without the veil, to look into the eyes of the living GOD, and you will hear him say words, smile, and look, and say your name....and say WELL DONE!!!!! WELL DONE MY GOOD & FAITHFUL SERVANT, you were faithful in things, but I will make you ruler over many, come, enter, into the joy of the LORD....
AND THEN....You will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER, this is the ultimate goal of the shepherd, Jesus, who wants to lead us victoriously through earth, to walk in obedience in God, to come home to him for eternal life. To be freed of ALL SIN, to walk in true righteousness & in holiness, He wants you to be refined! You can not make excuse, or have any sins, you can not make any excuses for your sins because Jesus will clean you from all parasites, ticks, fleas, no spot or blemish, no stain, no blemish!!! No excuses to sin, Our bodies were not made for sin, sin ages us, it breaks us down we were not made for sin and we were not made to excuse sin, if we are his sheep in his pasture we must be cleaned of all sins!!!
You can not have one foot in secular and one in holy...NO NO NO COME OUT FROM SECULAR beings...
No matter how angry you are.... You can not cuss people out, have an attitude, commit fornification, you know , sleeping around outside of marriage God ordained between a husband, a man, and his God given wife, a woman. This includes addictions......drinking, smoking, and doing drugs! There is a difference between a SHEEP and a GOAT, a sheep knows his or her body does not belong to that person....He or she knows a sheep a person who belongs to GOD, must have a clean temple because they must remain a clean vessel!
If you have sinned and you feel convicted it means your life belongs to God, the design of your life belongs to GOD, and you know that sin stinks to God, it speaks against Jesus's dying on the cross, it goes against everything Jesus died for, it goes against the word of God, it goes against God!
If your sin convicts you know Forgiveness waits today, you know if this is bothering you it means you feel convicted because you know you are not living right and you ARE a GOAT, not a sheep, but a goat, a goat will eat trash, anything comes into a goat's body...but Your life was designed for freedom not be be bound, hindered, or chained to anything!!!!!!! It is designed for FREEDOM!
If you are one who feels convicted....
I want you to say.....
In the mighty name of Jesus, Thank you Jesus for your anointing that makes me free.....I repent of my sins, I as that you set me free, of all sins, and that today I shall walk with you JESUS I shall not look back, I shall not be afraid for I know you are here. Today I give up my sinful ways and all that separates me from the word of God, and from your love, your goodness, grace, and mercy....Today, I take your head and you are leading me and I shall follow, I will net let go, I will not return to my sinful ways. I am a child of the most high GOD, ELOHIM....You Lord, I give all honor and praise...I am FREE!!!! I am FREE!! I AM FREE To live without sin! I am free to live a live of grace because you lord will help me get rid of my old ways!!! If you just prayed this prayer...Welcome into the kingdom of GOD, if you did not elect to accept this word, We are still praying for you to be saved!"

The Same always!!!!
Hannah--- Mission Accomplished!
Hannah - Women of the Bible
1 Samuel 1 Chapters 1 - 2
She was one of the two wives of Elkanah. She is more popularly known for being the mother of Samuel; one of the prophets of Israel.
Hannah had no child and Peninnah, the other wife of Elkanah used this fact to irritate her. A cruel thing to do. This went on year after year causing much grief to Hannah.
A longing of the heart denied can cause much pain. Rather than allow her pain to cause bitterness towards God Hannah used the pain in her heart as a catalyst to pray. (1 Samuel 1:12-20).
God always hears the prayer that comes from the depth of the heart of a righteous person. (James 5:16). Remember that Christ has made us righteous (1 Corinthians 1:30) and hence we too can come boldly to his presence to receive our requests from Him (Hebrews 4: 14-16)
Dear woman of God. Do you have a desire that God seems to have denied you. Pour out your heart to the Lord. We may not understand all that we go through, but one thing is sure. Those that put their trust in God are never put to shame.
Hannah was a woman of prayer. She had what many of us would call " a raw deal in life". She did not settle for it. She went after God. She poured her heart out to Him and He filled her and met her desire.
Notice that the condition of Hannah changed after her encounter with God. She started to live a normal life again (1 Samuel 1:18).
Something changed in Hannah's heart before the child came. She believed God before she saw the result.
Hannah soon gave birth to Samuel. When the child was weaned she gave him back to the Lord. (1 Samuel 1:24-28)
All mothers know that the time will come (or has come) when their children will grow up and leave. That is the time to let them go. No more holding and pulling their emotional cords. It's time to stop influencing them. Let them loose to be what God has called them to be.
This might involve calling them and praying over them. Releasing them to go and fulfil their God given destiny. You will always be their parent but no longer their guide. For some parents this is not easy. On your part it might involve a few tears. But it is the right thing to do. (Genesis 2:24)
They might still be around and visit you often, but they are now independent of you in many ways.
God used Hannah to show us that this is possible. If anyone cherished her child Hannah did. Yet even she knew that children are a gift from God. We are given the privilege to care, guide and train them and later release them into life.
Hannah's story ends with her giving praise and glory to God (1 Samuel 2:1-11). She had a fulfilled life. The fact that she had to wait for some things did not mean she was doomed.
Waiting for things is not a curse. In fact God always uses it to produce a blessing if we remain faithful to Him. Keep your trust in God. That is what Hannah's life is telling you.

“A large crowd followed and pressed around Him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, ‘If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.’ Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?’ ‘You see the people crowding against you,’ His disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, “Who touched Me?”’ But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and knelt at His feet, and trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth. He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering’” (MAR 5:25-34).
“As Jesus was on His way, the crowds almost crushed Him. And there was a woman there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. ‘Who touched Me?’ Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, ‘Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.’ But Jesus said, ‘Someone touched Me; I know that power has gone out from Me.’ The woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at His feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly healed. Then He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace’” (LUK 8:43-47).
“Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak. She said to herself, ‘If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned and saw her, ‘Take heart, daughter,’ He said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed from that moment” (MAT 9:20-22).
A. Who was she?
1. When did she live? 1st century A.D.; this probably occurred in the late 20’s.
2. Where did she live?
a. In the Galilee region of Israel (LUK 8:26; MAR 5:1).
b. Near the shore of the Sea of Galilee (MAR 5:21).
c. Probably in Capernaum:
1) Mark 2:1, “Jesus entered Capernaum…” and, “went out beside the lake…” (MAR 2:13).
2) “Jesus left there and went to his hometown” [of Nazareth] (MAR 6:1).
3. Who were her people?
a. The Jews: Jesus was sent to “the lost sheep of Israel” (MAT 15:24).
b. Family, unknown.
4. How old was she? Unknown: old enough to be a wife, but not elderly (“woman,” gune (GR., goonay) = a woman or wife).
B. What did she do?
1. She Was Desperate:
a. She suffered:
1) She had been bleeding for 12 years.
a) This was a chronic, abnormal condition (possibly a fibroid tumor of the uterus?), a “spring of blood,” that must have been, at the least, an embarrassment for her.
b) This was an affliction that she could “feel,” and which made her suffer, though whether physically or emotionally is not clear (vs. 29, Mark 5).
c) Chronic loss of blood probably meant anemia and physical weakness for her.
2) She had endured medical “cures” (vs. 26).
a) She had suffered under medical treatments.
b) She had consulted many doctors.
b. She was hopelessly incurable: she had only grown worse under the doctors’ care.
c. She was destitute: she had spent all she had.
2. She Was Earnest:
a. She had “heard” about Jesus (MAR 5: 27).
1) She was there when Jesus returned from healing the demoniacs of the Gerasenes (MAR 5:21, 25).
2) She must have heard that Jairus, an official at the synagogue, had beseeched Jesus to heal his daughter (vs. 23).
3) She had heard from the crowd “about Jesus” (vs. 27).
4) The Galilee area had previously seen Jesus heal a paralytic (MAR 2), a man with a shriveled hand (MAR 3), large crowds of their diseases and evil spirits (MAR 3), raise a centurion’s servant from the dead (LUK 7), raise a widow’s son from the dead (LUK 7:14,15).
5) Others had been healed by Jesus in Galilee through touching Him (LUK 6:19).
b. She believed that Jesus could heal her: she said over and over,
1) “If I only touch His cloak I’ll be healed” (MAT 9:20).
2) “If I just touch His clothes, I’ll be healed” (MAR 5:28).
c. She was willing to break social taboos.
1) As an “unclean” woman she was unwelcome in society (LEV 15:19-30), i.e. socially isolated.
a) Everything and everyone she touched became ceremonially unclean, so she would have been shunned by everyone, even family.
b) Sexual relations would have been unclean, her bed and even her husband would have been ceremonially unclean, so she probably would have been divorced by her husband (DEU 24:1).
c) Worship in the synagogue would have been barred to her since she could not make atonement for her blood flow (LEV 15:28-30).
2) As an “unclean” woman if she touched Jesus, under normal circumstances, she would make Him ceremonially “unclean.”
3) As a woman she was restricted from touching a man in public.
d. She was willing to hope in Jesus:
1) She was not intimidated by the large, dangerous crowd.
a) “Large,” polys = super large crowd—“a large crowd followed [Him]” (MAR 5:24).
b) “Crush,” sympnigo = choke or crush—“the crowds almost crushed Him” (LUK 8:42).
c) “Crowding,” synecho = hemming in—“the people are crowding and pressing against You” (LUK 8:45).
d) “Pressing,” apothlibo = press up against—“ the people are…pressing against You” (LUK 8:45).
2) She believed Jesus would help her, even though she interrupted Him as He on His way to heal the mortally ill daughter of Jairus, a synagogue leader and man of social prominence.
3) She reached out to Him:
a) “She came up…” (Perhaps she had to force her way through the crowd after she heard about Him?)
b) “She came up behind Jesus…” (Perhaps she could only reach His back? Or was she too shy to face Him?)
c) She “touched the edge of His cloak...”possibly to one of the two tassels on the corners of the shimla hanging down His back. (Perhaps she almost missed Him?)
d) She touched Jesus’ cloak—“touch,” Greek, haptomai (hap-tom-ahee) means to fasten onto or grab; so, she clung to His shimla, the large square cloth that comprised His outer robe. (See JOH 10, Mary Magdalene, for another instance of “haptomai”.)
3. She Was Satisfied:
a. Jesus received her:
1) Jesus knew “in His spirit” (MAR 2:8) both her need and her touch. (Luke says Jesus “noticed” her, Mark that He saw her.)
a) Jesus did not heal all who touched Him in the crowd.
b) Jesus perceived her secret touch.
2) Jesus was willing to heal her:
a) Jesus controlled His power—power did not automatically flow from Him or from His clothing—and He “responded by letting His power go out to heal her” (Lenski, Interpretation of St. Mark’s Gospel, Mark 5:30, pg. 223).
b) Jesus allowed touch to produce the healing, though He did not need to touch anyone or to be touched by anyone to effect a healing.
b. Jesus saved her from her affliction:
1) Jesus healed her body by His power immediately and completely:
a) “And the woman was healed from that moment” (MAT 9:22).
b) “Immediately her bleeding stopped …” (MAR 5:29).
c) “…and immediately her bleeding stopped” (LUK 8:48).
d) “She felt in her body that she had was free from her suffering” (MAR 5:29).
e) She knew “what had happened to her” (MAR 5:33).
2) Jesus restored her social standing:
a) He made a public declaration that power had gone out for healing--
* “Jesus said, ‘Someone touched Me; I know that power has gone out from Me’” (LUK 8:46).
* “At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched My clothes?’ …But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it” (MAR 5:30,32).
b) He made her publicly confess her healing:
*“In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly healed” (LUK 8:47).
* “Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear, told Him the whole truth” (MAR 5:33).
c) He made a public declaration of that she was healed:
* “Daughter, your faith has healed you” (MAR 5:34).
3) Jesus cared for her feelings:
a) Jesus relieved her fears: “Then the woman…came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear…” (MAR 5:33).
WHY WOULD SHE BE AFRAID?
She recognized that she was in the presence of God?
She was afraid of rebuke?
She was afraid that her previously embarrassing condition would be made public?
* Jesus reassured her with the words, “Take heart” (MAT 9:22).
* Jesus addressed her as “daughter,” (MAT 9:22; MAR 5:34), an expression of “love and concern” (Lenski).
b) Jesus blessed her, “Go in peace” (eirene, “lack of strife”) (MAR 5:34; LUK 8:48).
c) Jesus assured her that the affliction would not return with the words, “Be freed from your suffering” (MAR 5:34).
c. Jesus saved her from her sins:
1) She expressed faith:
a) She worshiped: she “came trembling and fell at His feet” (LUK 8:47)…. “came and fell at His feet and, trembling with fear…” (MAR 5:33).
b) She made a profession of faith:
“She told Him the whole truth” (MAR 5:33)…”In the presence of all the people, she told why she touched Him and how she had been instantly healed” (LUK 9:47).
* God made Adam and Eve confess the truth so that they could be saved (GEN 3).
* The Philippian jailer and his household believed in Jesus and were saved (ACT 16:31,32).
2) He granted redemption to her: “Your faith has made you well” (MAT 9:22; MAR 5:34; LUK 8:48).
a) “Well,” sozo = redeemed; i.e. a right relationship with God. (Contrasted with iaomai, the usual word for healing.)
b) “Faith,” pistis = faith or trust; i.e. saving faith.
This woman had a great need and had the faith to come to Jesus for its resolution. The woman’s healing was a demonstration of Jesus’ power and His deity, and the woman recognized this. In turn, Jesus recognized her saving faith and gifted her with total healing—both in body and soul. Like the man blind from birth who came to Jesus for healing and found both healing and redemption (JOH 9:2-25) this woman found all that her heart desired in Jesus.
C. What can we learn from her?
1. Jesus honors our faith, however small.
2. Jesus is approachable in every circumstance.
3. Jesus has compassion on the needy who come to Him in faith.
4. Jesus sometimes allows circumstances to enter our lives that reduce us to desperation so that we will reach out for Him.
Memory verse: “If look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God “(PRO 2:4,5).
