Learning to Pray

When new Christian are first saved many ask this question...

How do I pray???

Are there certain words???

Every denomination is different but the best way of learning how to pray is to learn the Lord's prayer. Use the Lord's prayer as a model and you can learn how to discern God's voice; ( The quiet, sweet, and peaceful spirit who guides your day to day life). You will know God's voice if you truly seek him...read his words...the holy bible, pray...ask God to give you the wisdom and the knowledge of his word.

Pray ( if you do not have a home church) that God will lead you to the " right church" In this I am saying a church that is not preaching false doctrines. Listen to the voice of God because he will never steer you wrong. Join a church that practices what they preach...I know you are saying...that is hard to find, but the fruits of the spirit are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. You will find this in a bible centered, friendly, Holy Spirit filled, Holy Spirit led, and devoted home church. Do not give up if you are still looking, God has not placed you in your home church yet, keep visiting churches that God lays on your heart.

     When learning to pray...

The best prayer model is the Lord's prayer located in the book of Matthew, chapter 6, verses 10-14....

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed( Holy) be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever. Amen

You have taken the first step of praying!!!

God Bless you! :-)
